Youth Mental Health Toolkit On 5 Emerging Issues in Africa

The goal of this #ICanSurvive toolkit is to address the mental health challenges faced by African youth, stemming from the continent’s complex social, political, and economic context. These challenges were identified through extensive engagements, including town hall meetings, community visits, consultations, and surveys, involving over 50 000 young people across Africa and the Diaspora in 2022. The objectives of the toolkit are rooted in the recognition of the pressing need to address the mental health challenges faced by young people in Africa, aligning with the AU’s commitment to youth well-being.
