EU4health: Forstering meaningful purpose and self-efficacy in volunteers

Displaced individuals from Ukraine are joining the Red Cross, bringing their unique cultural backgrounds, language skills, and expertise to bridge gaps between those in need and formal systems like healthcare and education. Nathalia, one of many volunteers operating a helpline, uses her Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) skills, including psychological first aid, to provide vital support.

As part of the European Commission EU4Health project, the PS Centre is training Red Cross staff and volunteers to provide PFA and mental health services throughout Europe to people who have been impacted by the conflict in Ukraine.
