Supportive Supervision: Two New Guides Out

The IFRC Psychosocial Centre has published two new guides on supportive supervision.

Supervision is acknowledged as a vital component of mental health and psychosocial support. This is of course also the case in emergency settings which are the working reality for many Red Cross Red Crescent staff and volunteers. However, comprehensive guidance on supervision for National Societies has been lacking – it is our hope that these publications can close some of that gap by drawing on approaches outlined in the Integrated Model for Supervision and applying these to Red Cross contexts.

The guides offers tools enabling Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies to get started on building supportive supervision systems.
