New online micro-course on addressing mental health and psychosocial needs

A new online short course on Movement Policy and Addressing Mental Health and Psychosocial Needs is available as part of a micro-learning series “from Policy to Practice” launched by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

This 11-minute e-learning micro-course combines policy content and practical application of actions you can take to address the mental health and psychosocial needs of affected people, including staff and volunteers.

Through this course, participants can identify the policy’s key statements and concepts, to explain its Movement-wide scope, recognize its importance, outline the implementation roadmap ahead, and commit to what we can do together.

In December 2019, historical commitments were made through a Movement Policy and a Resolution to build a more harmonized, integrated, contextually appropriate and holistic response to mental health and psychosocial needs.

More resources resources assisting the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement in the implementation of the Roadmap, Resolution and Policy on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support can be found in the PS Centre Resource Room.

The MHPSS Roadmap Team hosted by the PS Centre can be booked to present more on the MHPSS Movement Policy, Resolution, Roadmap and the Working Groups. You can reach out to the Nathalie Helena Rigall, narig@rodekors.dk
