Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Regional Network Meeting

NOTE: This event is for members of the African MHPSS Network only.

Hosted by: IFRC Africa Regional Office (ARO), the Movement MHPSS Hub and Kenya Red Cross.

The African MHPSS Network Meeting aims to strengthen institutional understanding and strategic alignment of MHPSS across African National Societies, while advancing localisation and systems strengthening through structured needs discussions, collective planning, and strengthened partnerships.

The meeting will:

1. Strengthen practical understanding of how to integrate basic and scalable community-based MHPSS into sectoral responses (Health, Protection, WASH, Disaster Preparedness & Response), grounded in sub-regional crisis realities.
2. Support National Societies to translate Africa MHPSS Roadmap Priority Action Areas into country-level operational priorities and concrete actions for 2026–2028.
3. Strengthen MHPSS Monitoring, Evaluation, documentation, and evidence generation.
4. Enhance advocacy and humanitarian diplomacy knowledge and approaches to advance MHPSS integration at national, regional, and global levels.
5. Reinforce collaboration and partnerships across National Societies and Movement actors, including through the launch of the Africa MHPSS Network and establishment of Technical Working Groups (TWGs).
