The session will be based on the article: Cultural concepts of distress and complex PTSD: Future directions for research and treatment
We will aim to answer the following questions in this session:
- What is Complex PTSD (CPTSD), and what are its core features?
- How can we balance universal trauma structures with local cultural realities?
- How do cultural expectations shape social support and relationships?
- How must MHPSS interventions adapt to effectively treat CPTSD globally?
The session will be moderated by Dr. Sarah Davidson, the Head of Psychosocial and Mental Health at the British Red Cross.
