#EUHPP LIVE WEBINAR: Strengthening Preparedness and Resilience through Community-Based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

The webinar is co-organised with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), with participation of Carmen Valle-Trabadelo on behalf of the Red Cross Red Crescent MHPSS Hub.

The webinar will explore how community-based mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) helps society build long-term resilience and strengthen preparedness for future challenges. Community-based MHPSS approaches recognise that communities can drive their own care and change, fostering their active and meaningful participation.

Drawing on experiences from the EU4Health-funded project “Provision of quality and timely psychological first aid to people affected by the Ukraine crisis in impacted countries,” led by the IFRC and implemented across 28 countries, the session will highlight practical examples of local and community actions, featuring the voices of community members themselves.
