Objectives:
- Disseminate the key findings of MHPSS Sustainability Guidance developed through co-creation between the IFRC ROE, MHPSS Hub and National Societies involved in EU4Health project.
- Share practical learnings on how longer-term MHPSS programming can be institutionalised by National Societies, utilizing project-based opportunities and experience
Background:
Aim of the Guidance is to supports Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) National Societies in building long-term MHPSS programming. It reflects ongoing efforts to implement commitments made under the 2019 Council of Delegates Resolution 5 and Resolution 2 of the 33rd International Conference, as well as operationalizing the Movement MHPSS Policy.
The guidance draws on insights from a three-year collaboration between the IFRC Regional Office for Europe, 28 National Societies, and the RCRC Movement MHPSS Hub through the EU4Health-funded project Provision of quality and timely psychological first aid to people affected by the international armed conflict in Ukraine in impacted countries (2022–2025).
